The influence should be marginal and will t ouch only electricity generation based on thermo steam or gas turbines.
On flexibel mobile energy demand is quite unlikely an in fluence unless the energy balance between Energy required for Si photo voltaic solar cells and erogated energy during the usefull life of them is drastically improved.

I don't think it will. It may be decades before alternatives have an effect on oil. Cap and Trade will be exposed as the scam of the century. Global warming will turn into global cooling. America may find out that oil exploration is the best short term solution prior to ramping up alternatives. The price of oil is going nowhere but up. Short and medium term.
