Peterdykeng,
Mt stands for "metric tonne".
The average density of gasoline is 0.73 g/ml ( = metric tonnes/m3).
There are 1,000 liters in 1 cubic meter.
So the answer to your question is: there are 1,000/0.73=1,370 liters of gasoline per metric tonne.

Note that the density of 0.73 g/ml is an average and varies according to temperature. Typically this variation is accounted for in pipelines but not in gas stations.

Google "density of gasoil", same calculation.

Peter,

You may also find the following resource helpful:

http://www.simetric.co.uk/si_liquids.htm

This may address the "big picture" since your new to the industry.

Cheers!
